Unique. Supportive. Inspiring. Creative!
Imagine an oasis of unparalleled support where you’re free to be your most authentic, most expressive, most creative self. Imagine all your writing questions answered, all your writing issues addressed and all your writing accomplishments celebrated. Imagine feeling more inspired and motivated than you ever thought possible. Imagine being part of a small community of like-spirited writers always eager to cheer you on.
What you’ve imagined already exists: my Global Coaching Groups for Writers! And the next one kicks off on May 6 – on Zoom, so it’s available to you wherever in the world you are.
What is a coaching group?
Unlike my classes and workshops, each of which has a fixed theme and focus, my coaching groups are tailored to the specific needs of those participating…to your needs.
It doesn’t matter what you write, or even if you’re not yet writing, my Global Coaching Groups are open to everyone — whatever your genre, form or medium and wherever you are on your creative journey.
Why a coaching group?
My Global Coaching Groups Are About You. Whatever your individual needs, you’ll get the inspiration, counsel and practical tips to fuel your passion, keep you accountable and propel your writing project to completion…even if you have yet to start it. You will also benefit from the experience, expertise, compassion and support of your fellow participants. In fact, the bonds created in some of my coaching groups have been so powerful that members have stayed in touch long after the formal group ends.
My Global Coaching Groups Are Recorded. Free access to each week’s video allows you to revisit moments you found particularly powerful. If you must miss a week’s live session and you email me your questions or concerns beforehand, I’ll address them and my suggestions (and others’) will be waiting for you on the recording.
My Global Coaching Groups Envelop You in an Oasis of Support. Nowhere in either the writing world or the greater world is your voice more supported and your creativity more nurtured than in my groups and workshops.
My Global Coaching Groups Are Dedicated “You Time.” In a 21st century packed with tasks, obligations and responsibilities that too easily pull you from your creative life, my coaching groups deliver focused “you time” where you can openly be the writer you are in community with other, like-spirited writers.
Is my coaching group for you?
If you answer yes to any of the following questions, my Global Coaching Group is for you.
Do you have a writing project that you're challenged to start...or finish?
Have you started multiple projects but not finished any of them?
Do you need help setting and/or keeping realistic writing goals and routines? Finding the time to write?
Have you finished a first draft and need help with your revisions?
Have you finished a final draft but have concerns about getting your work out into the world?
Do you feel an urgent need to write but aren't sure what to write? Or do you have too many ideas and don't know which to focus on?
Do you feel isolated as a writer and long for creative community?
Why Mark David Gerson?
There is a reason why LA’s Luke Yankee calls me “the best friend a writer ever had.” Through more than three decades of teaching and coaching both new writers and seasoned professionals, I have motivated, inspired, encouraged and guided thousands of women and men of all ages across three continents to rekindle their innate creativity, reignite their natural creative flow and get their stories onto the page with ease.
Through my Global Coaching Group, I will do the same for you.
Who is Luke Yankee? He is an award-winning author, playwright, screenwriter, producer and director. He also created and hosted TV’s Conversations on Craft, a popular seminar series held in conjunction with the Stella Adler Theater, one of America’s oldest and most respected theater schools.
“I’m a storyteller,” Luke went on to say, “and Mark David Gerson has really helped feed that and get me through some lean creative times.”
Here’s what others say after experiencing one of my classes, groups or workshops…
“This group coaching experience has been one of the best choices I ever made!” – Debbie McMannis, kids’ author
“Mark David’s insightful coaching, helpful suggestions and wonderful encouragement were pivotal in the completion of my book.” – Mary Clark, author of Landing in My Present
“Working with Mark David broke the dam that was keeping me blocked in my writing. It also opened up my life, and all is flowing again!” – Karen Kuester, Waimea, HI
“The writer’s group we formed from our workshop with Mark David is still meeting…15 years later!” – Jaclene Schofield, South Ohio, NS
“Mark David Gerson is a master…one of the great teachers.” – Mary Omwake, Unity minister and member of the Ass’n for Global New Thought’s leadership council
I practice what I teach…
I am the award-winning author of more than 20 critically acclaimed books, fiction and nonfiction, including six specifically aimed at writers. I’m also a screenwriter, having adapted all the books in my Legend of Q’ntana fantasy series for film. And I have applied to all those projects the same tools, techniques, motivation and inspiration I share with you in my groups.
